Our Story
Maxmate® was founded in 2015 by a group of automotive enthusiasts who saw a need in the truck accessory market. We started as a small operation in Nashville, TN, but had big dreams of growing a nationwide brand.
The original Maxmate® team had decades of combined experience working on and accessorizing our own trucks. We were frustrated with the lack of options and quality in the truck accessory space. That sparked our mission to design the best products that actually enhance the truck experience.
We spent two years perfecting our first products – soft roll-up tonneau covers. Our goal was to engineer covers that were easy to install, secure, durable, and weatherproof. In 2017, we were ready to launch with a line of tri-fold and quad-fold options made of heavy-duty vinyl.
The tonneau covers were an immediate hit with truck owners looking to secure their truck beds without breaking the bank. Positive customer feedback drove us to expand the tonneau lineup and also develop complementary truck accessories like running boards, bumper guards, fender flares, and more.
Over the past seven years, Maxmate® has rapidly grown from a startup to one of the most trusted names in truck accessories. Tonneau Covers
Our tonneau covers launched the Maxmate® brand, and they remain a customer favorite today. We offer three main styles:
- Soft roll-up – Our signature roll-up design is easy to use and provides versatile bed access. A thick vinyl cover rolls up with assistance from a spring-loaded frame.
- Soft tri-fold – This popular tonneau folds in three sections for quick access to the bed. Durable vinyl panels are hinged together on a powder-coated aluminum frame.
- Soft quad-fold – For even faster opening, our quad-fold tonneaus have four folding vinyl panels. The low-profile design also enhances fuel economy.
All of our soft tonneau covers feature marine-grade vinyl material that stands up to any weather conditions. The heavy-duty aluminum frames mount directly to the truck bed for a flush fit. We also back every tonneau with a 3-year warranty and hassle-free returns.
Running Boards & Side Steps
Upgrade your truck’s style and function with Maxmate® running boards and side steps. Our running boards sit tighter to the body to act as both a stylish accent and helpful step. For a bolder look, we offer giant side steps that protect the sides while providing a rugged appearance.
Features like anti-slip pads, durable polymer/steel construction, and rustproofing make our boards and steps ideal for everyday use. We design them for easy no-drill installation right onto your truck’s mounting points.
Bumper Guards
Protect your truck’s rear bumper from scratches and damage during loading/unloading. Our bolt-on bumper guards are made of thick stainless steel that attaches firmly to handle repeated impact. Stylish black powder coating gives them a factory finish.
Fender Flares
Give your truck wider, more muscular lines with bold Maxmate® fender flares. These wheel well covers extend the body out to cover more of the tires. They transform the stance while also preventing mud, gravel, and debris from damaging the body.
We use durable ABS plastic that flexes and rebounds from scrapes or bumps. OE-style attachment systems provide secure mounting that doesn’t alter the steel body panels.
